Kelly Leasure, Ph. D.
I provide a warm, nurturing environment for therapy with a strong foundation in the latest research. I tailor that information to my client’s needs and my own personal style. Although I integrate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) in my session, I do so in a way that is unique to me and sensitive to the needs of my client. I have worked at FSU in the career center and victim advocate program, and have taught at both FSU and TCC. I have an understanding of the challenges young adults face as well as the systems they have to navigate I n a college environment. I also have extensive experience with chronic and critical health issues and the impact on day-to-day life. I have specialized training in DBT, Motivational Interviewing, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. I look forward to applying this information and experience with each new client I meet.
I was awarded my PhD in Counseling Psychology from Florida State University in 2019. I earned my MS/EdS in Mental Health Counseling from Florida State University in 2006.
