Kacey Monagas, RMHCI
I believe everyone is capable of creating positive and sustainable change in their life. I strive to create an empathetic, understanding, and warm environment that fosters comfort, safety, and growth. I enjoy working with depression, anxiety, eating disorders, identity issues, and with LGBTQ+ populations. Together, we will craft a therapeutic approach that works for you; we will create sustainable goals and work towards them together. Through the use of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), narrative therapy, and an overall trauma-informed approach, we will work together to work through mental illness and interpersonal issues, uncover the forces driving maladaptive behavior, and work through the things in your life that make it difficult to move towards your goals.
I am a Registered Clinical Mental Health Counselor Intern receiving supervision from a qualified supervisor, Kathleen Anderson, license number MH4062, and she can be reached at (904) 237-7192. I received both a Masters of Science Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and an Education Specialist Degree from Florida State University, a CACREP-accredited program, where I learned to understand, conceptualize, and competently work with mental illness and life issues across diverse populations to promote wellness. I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from the University of North Florida. I offer therapeutic services to individuals and couples both in-person and online via HIPAA-compliant telehealth platforms.
